Apex Healthcare unit to acquire industrial complex in Melaka for RM66.5mil


KUALA LUMPUR: Apex Healthcare Bhd via its wholly-owned subsidiary Xepa-Soul Pattinson (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd has proposed to acquire an industrial property in Cheng Industrial Estate in Melaka from Panasonic Appliances Refrigeration Devices Malaysia Sdn Bhd for RM66.5mil.

The Proposed Acquisition will be funded through a combination of internally generated funds and/or external borrowings to be secured, said Apex in a statement.

The property measuring 20.7 acres comprises six plots of industrial land with an industrial complex, which was used for the manufacturing of refrigerator parts.

The industrial complex comprises two main factory buildings and other ancillary structures erected on the land, with a combined built-up gross floor area of about 377,888 sq ft.

Barring any unforeseen circumstances and subject to the terms and conditions in the sales and purchase agreement, the proposed acquisition is estimated to be completed on or after July 31, 2024, said Apex.
