HAILING from the city of Ipoh, businessman Yeap Swee Chuan, who made his fortunes in neighbouring Thailand, still counts himself as a true Malaysian.

Yeap, 75 is the founder, president and chief executive officer of public-listed auto parts maker AAPICO Hitech Public Company Ltd on the Stock Exchange of Thailand with a market capitalisation of some RM1.6bil.
