Yeap says starting the AAPICO business was more of a necessity rather than something that was birthed out of passion or the like.

HAILING from the city of Ipoh, businessman Yeap Swee Chuan, who made his fortunes in neighbouring Thailand, still counts himself as a true Malaysian.

Yeap, 75 is the founder, president and chief executive officer of public-listed auto parts maker AAPICO Hitech Public Company Ltd on the Stock Exchange of Thailand with a market capitalisation of some RM1.6bil.
