EU, M’sia continue talks on EUDR ad hoc task force


Fink-Hooijer said the EU and Malaysia are strategic partners that share a common objective to protect nature and biodiversity.

KUALA LUMPUR: The European Union (EU) and Malaysia will continue discussions on establishing an ad hoc task force to support the implementation of the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) in Malaysia.

The director-general for the environment of the EU, Dr Florika Fink-Hooijer, said the bloc and Malaysia are strategic partners that share a common objective to protect nature and biodiversity, in line with the commitments made at the historic biodiversity COP15 meeting in Montreal.
