Citaglobal appoints Yasmin Mahmood as director

KUALA LUMPUR: Citaglobal Bhd has appointed Datuk Yasmin Mahmood as an independent and non-executive director effective from July 1, 2023.

In a statement, Citaglobal said Yasmin’s illustrious career spanned three decades in the public and private sectors, including a three-year stint as managing director of Microsoft Malaysia.

From 2014 to 2019, she was the CEO of Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) Sdn Bhd. At MDEC, Yasmin spearheaded nation-building initiatives such as the Digital Free Trade Zone (DFTZ), while nurturing the local tech ecosystem and driving foreign direct investments into Malaysia.

From April 2019 to April 2021, Yasmin was the chairman of Pos Malaysia Bhd. At Pos Malaysia, she steered the board and management towards embracing digital initiatives, while setting the stage for the group’s ongoing turnaround plan.

Yasmin is currently a board member of MIDF Bhd, UMW Holdings Bhd and Bintulu Ports Holdings Bhd.
