SHAH ALAM: IBhd is expecting a footfall of at least 17 million visitors to i-City by the end of this year.
Non-executive director Datuk Eu Hong Chew said i-City has enjoyed steady footfall growth, especially since the opening of its subsidiary DoubleTree by Hilton i-City in July last year.
Last year, he said the group allocated RM10 million towards the enhancement of its leisure segment with the enhancement projects taking shape this year.
"We will be seeing the addition of a 4,654 square meters indoor Xcite Park and a five-dimension snow experience centre on top of highly Instagrammable lightscapes,” he said at a post-annual general meeting media briefing today.
IBhd also announced its year-long ‘One Shah Alam, One Destination programme’ which will be kicking off in July this year that aims to create local cultural, eco, social and micro enterprises to explore and create opportunities with a more inclusive environment at i-City.
Eu said the group is also targeting to increase the occupancy of Mercu Maybank i-City to 95 per cent by next year, from 86 per cent occupancy to date. - Bernama
