Trading ideas: UWC, Scientex, Visdynamics, Pharmaniaga, ICS and Uzma


KUALA LUMPUR: There could be trading interest in the companies with recent corporate announcements including UWC, Scientex, Visdynamics, Pharmaniaga, ICS and Uzma.

UWC Bhd’s 3QFY23 net profit dropped 83.55% to RM4.72 million.

Scientex Bhd's 3QFY23 net profit rose 24.28% to RM109.78 million.

Visdynamics Holdings Bhd’s 2QFY23 net profit fell 16.7% to RM2.62 million.

Pharmaniaga Bhd’s auditor has reported a material uncertainty that may cast significant doubt on its ability to continue as a going concern.

TCS Group Holdings Bhd has scrapped its plan to develop a condominium project, known as Arcadia, in Kuala Langat, Selangor.

Uzma Bhd has secured syndicated Islamic financing facilities of up to RM225 million to facilitate the construction and maintenance of a 50MWac large-scale solar photovoltaic plant in Sungai Petani, Kedah.

In the previous session, the FBM KLCI was flat after adding one point or 0.07% to 1,388.33.

"Following the recent flattish performance, the FBM KLCI could remain sideways between its support of 1,372 points and resistance of 1392 points," said Apex.

The US market declined overnight as profit taking continues while investors waited for the Federal Reserve chairman’s testimony later today.

Earlier, the European markets also dropped as the Bank of England is expected to raise interest rates by 25 basis points tomorrow.
