TM unit inks agreement for the execution of MyGov*Net 2.0 concession

KUALA LUMPUR: Telekom Malaysia Bhd’s (TM) wholly-owned subsidiary, GITN Sdn Bhd (GITN), has signed the mygov*net 2.0 concession agreement with the government valued at RM4.9 billion inclusive of six per cent sales and service tax.

TM said the scope of work for MyGov*Net 2.0 services is to provide a secured integrated telecommunication network for the government that connects more than 10,000 government premises in Malaysia and Malaysian Embassies overseas for a period of 10 years until Dec 31, 2032.

"This secured and dedicated government network integrates with the intranet, internet, government campus network and public sector data centre,” it said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia today.

It added that MyGov*Net 2.0 would contribute positively to the group’s earnings and net assets for the current financial year ending Dec 31, 2023 and over the concession period. - Bernama
