Trading ideas: Sapura Energy, Revenue Group, PRG Holdings


KUALA LUMPUR: Stocks to watch on Thursday include Sapura Energy Bhd and PRG Holdings Bhd, said Apex Securities.

Sapura Energy and its 22 wholly-owned subsidiaries were granted a nine-month extension, until March 10, 2024, of the granted restraining orders.

Revenue Group has proposed a private placement of not more than 10% of its issued shares to raise up to RM24.31mil.

PRG Holdings has obtained two contracts with a combined value of RM20mil from Obayashi Singapore Private Limited and Marina Bay Sands Pte Ltd.

The US market was mixed overnight with the Dow edging higher while the S&P and Nasdaq declined as investors waited for the weekly jobless claims data later today.

The S&P 500 ticked down 0.38% to close at 4,267.52 and the Nasdaq Composite declined 1.29% to end at 13,104.89.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average, the outlier among the major averages, added 91.74 points, or 0.27%, closing at 33,665.02.

Earlier, European markets dropped after China’s trade data missed expectations.

“Following the recent lacklustre performance, the FBM KLCI could trend lower towards its support of 1,372 points,” Apex said.
