Investors take profit ahead of US inflation data


KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia's benchmark stock index was lower at midday as investors took gains off a two-day rally ahead of economic data to be announced later this week.

There was a broad-based retreat given the air of uncertainty with 548 decliners compared with 203 gainers on Bursa Malaysia.
