MYAirline grows fleet with delivery of sixth aircraft

KUALA LUMPUR: Low-cost carrier MYAirline Sdn Bhd has inducted a sixth aircraft to its fleet to meet the growing demand for its products and services.

In a statement, CEO Rayner Teo said the spare aircraft will give the airline better reliability as well as further reduce the turnaround time and increase overall productivity.

“Adding aircraft in our fleet is an important strategic decision for MYAirline – it requires careful planning and consideration from various factors such as market demand, financial viability, and operational efficiency.

"The induction of new aircraft requires planning and coordination to ensure that the aircraft meet all safety and performance requirements. Most importantly, it needs to be seamlessly integrated to the existing operations,” he said.

He added that the airline will be able to schedule more frequencies to its existing routes as it will soon induct a seventh aircraft to its fleet.

With a total of 20 aircraft by the year end, he said MYAirline is committed to expanding its domestic route netwok and starting international flights in the region.

"We are looking forward to take advantage of the growth opportunities with our commitment to expansion in this region.

"This factor allows us to capture a share of the growing demand travels post-covid and expand our customer base in Asean," he said.
