KUALA LUMPUR: Stocks in focus on Tuesday include Sime Darby Plantation, Fraser & Neave, Tropicana Corp, KSL and Cypark Resources, said Apex Research.
Sime Darby Plantation Bhd said it is optimistic that it will soon be allowed to resume exports to the United States.
Fraser & Neave Holdings Bhd’s (F&N) net profit more than doubled.
Tropicana Corp Bhd is selling a 10.85-acre piece of land in Pontian, Johor, to KSL Holdings Bhd
for RM21.27 million.
Cypark Resources Bhd will operate a solid waste modular advanced recovery and treatment waste-to-energy (SMART WTE) plant at Ladang Tanah Merah in Port Dickson.
Meanwhile, Apex said it expects the local market may see some selldown and profit-taking after it traded in positive territory in the previous week below the resistance of 1,500 points.
The US market ended lower as investors shifted gears after considering the possibility that the US Federal Reserve may stay the high interest rate environment for the longer time.
Similarly, European market close lower as investors gauge the economic outlook after assessed the latest economic data and interest rate outlook.
