PETRONAS’ wholly-owned clean-energy solutions subsidiary, Gentari Hydrogen Sdn Bhd, had inked a memorandum of understanding with Japan's IHI for the proposed venture.
PETALING JAYA: Petroliam Nasional Bhd (PETRONAS) has tied up with Japan-based heavy-industry manufacturer IHI Corp Ltd to evaluate the feasibility of leveraging the abundant solar resources of Malaysia for the production and sales of green ammonia derived from renewable energy sources.
In a statement yesterday, IHI said PETRONAS’ wholly-owned clean-energy solutions subsidiary, Gentari Hydrogen Sdn Bhd, had inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with IHI for the proposed venture.
