Nylex in talks on Johor LRT project

PETALING JAYA: Nylex (M) Bhd has signed a letter of intent with CRRC Changchun Railway Vehicles Co Ltd to discuss and negotiate with regards to the construction, commissioning, installation and testing of a light rail transit (LRT) project in Johor.

Nylex is a consortium member that will build and operate a LRT system connected with the railway shuttle link currently being built from Singapore to Johor Bahru, with an integrated property development using the “Transit-Oriented Development” concept in Johor Baru metropolitan region.

The project is subject to an ongoing feasibility study being completed and the grant of the concession award for the project by the Johor state government, Nylex said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia.
