MSM names Mazatul ‘Aini Shahar as CFO

KUALA LUMPUR: MSM Malaysia Holdings Bhd has appointed Dr Mazatul ‘Aini Shahar Abdul Malek Shahar as its chief financial officer (CFO) succeeding Ab Aziz Ismail.

Mazatul, 50, was the group CFO of Proton Holdings Bhd, prior to the merger with Zhejiang Geely Holdings Group.

Prior to that, she was the CFO for Nationwide Express Courier Services Bhd.

Currently, she is an independent non-executive director of IJN Holdings Sdn Bhd.

Previously, Mazatul was also an independent non-executive director at 7-Eleven Malaysia Holdings Bhd and TH Heavy Engineering Bhd and a member of audit committee for both companies.

She is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and obtained her PhD in Islamic banking and international economics from the University of East London (UEL), UK.
