Malaysia Debt Venture appoints Marazizi Omar as chief business officer


KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia Debt Venture Bhd (MDV) has apointed Marazizi Omar as its new chief business officer, effective Nov 21, 2022.

In a statement, the unit of the Ministry of Finance and agency under the purview of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation said Marazizi has more than 20 years of substantial experience in business and finance, having held multiple senior leadership positions in various corporations as well as having successfully founded his own technology-based businesses.

Prior to the appointment by MDV, Marazizi had served as the chief operating officer and later, as the chief business officer, at Export Import Bank Malaysia for three years.

He was also the CEO of Pembangunan Leasing Corporation, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Bank Pembangunan Malaysia Bhd and had worked with CIMB, Southern Bank and Bank Bumiputra Malaysia Bhd in various capacities.

MDV chairman Khairul Azwan Harun said the board and the management of MDV are confident that Marazizi will be an asset in its efforts to achieve rapid growth targets over the next three to five years.
