Gamuda has bagged a NT$14.5bil (RM2.13bil) contract to construct an underground rail track and commuter station in Taiwan's TaoYuan city, jointly with a local company.
Bursa Malaysia Securities Bhd has approved the listing of and quotation for 3.96 billion new ordinary shares in Digi to be issued pursuant to the proposed merger with Celcom Axiata Bhd.
Unisem’s net profit for the third quarter ended Sept 30, 2022 (3QFY22) rose 53.3%.
Vitrox Corp Bhd’s net profit for 3QFY22 grew 20.4%, BAT net profit for 3QFY22 dropped 4.34% and LCT posted a net loss of RM355.5mil.
CTOS posted a 95% surge in net profit to RM22.76mil.
WTK’s wholly-owned unit WTK Alpha Sdn Bhd is acquiring BHB Sdn Bhd, which operates an oil palm plantation in Miri, from Sibu-based Harvard Master Sdn Bhd (HMSB) for RM237.5mil.
Overnight, the Dow climbed 194.17 points, or 0.6%, to end at 32,033.28. The S&P 500 closed down 0.6%, ending the session at 3,807.30 while Nasdaq Composite lost 1.6%, closing at 10,792.68.
“Following the negative performance in Nasdaq, we expect the negative sentiment may spill over to the technology sector in local bourses,” Apex said.
