Langkasuka appoints Widad as contractor


KUALA LUMPUR: Widad Group Bhd’s wholly-owned subsidiary Widad Builders Sdn Bhd has been appointed by Langkasuka Land Sdn Bhd as the contractor for earthworks for a mixed development in Langkasuka, Langkawi.

It said, in a filing with Bursa Malaysia yesterday, the works would cover the site clearance and earthworks, retaining wall, the environment protection works and any associated works that are necessary for the completion of the project.

The contract, valued at RM40mil, will run for 10 months from Sept 22, 2022 to July 22, 2023. Widad expects to fund the project via internally generated funds and external borrowings.
