TNB plant gets PPA extension


PETALING JAYA: The Energy Commission (EC) has extended Tenaga Nasional Bhd’s (TNB) existing power purchase agreement (PPA) for the Sungai Perak hydroelectric power plants by five years from Sept 1, 2022 until Aug 24, 2027.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia yesterday, the group said its wholly owned subsidiary TNB Power Generation Sdn Bhd had received an extension letter from the EC. The power plants comprise six stations with a total capacity of 649.1MW.
