Apple Pay lands in Malaysia


Apple Pay, first launched in the United States in 2014, is now available in over 60 countries and regions. It also works with over 10,000 bank and network partners worldwide.

PETALING JAYA: Visa and Mastercard holders of Ambank, Maybank and Standard Chatered Bank cards can now enjoy Apple Pay.

In a statement, Apple said American Express customers will enjoy contactless payment through Apply Pay later this year.

Apple Pay, first launched in the United States in 2014, is now available in over 60 countries and regions. It also works with over 10,000 bank and network partners worldwide.

After equipping with the bank card details, customers simply need hold their iPhone or Apple Watch near a payment terminal to make a contactless payment. The mobile payment service does not only enables contactless payments in store, but also allows Apple users to pay online as well as in applications using it.
