Director jailed, fined RM2.25mil for failing to appear before SC for investigation


KUALA LUMPUR: The Securities Commission Malaysia (SC) has secured a conviction against a company director for three offences under Section 32(8)(a) of the Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Terrorism Financing and Proceeds of Unlawful Activities Act 2001(Act 613).

The Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court sentenced CTB Solutions Sdn Bhd director Amirruddin Nin, 52, to a fine of RM100,000 and one-day imprisonment for each of the three charges, the SC said in a statement today, adding that the conviction was secured on July 14, 2022.
