KUALA LUMPUR: A study by Juniper Research has estimated the value of biometrically authenticated remote mobile payments to reach US$1.2 trillion (RM5.24 trillion) globally by 2027; rising from US$332bil (RM1.4 trillion) so far this year.

The transactions use facial and fingerprint recognition to authenticate remote mobile payments.
