PKF resigns as external auditors for Gets Global

KUALA LUMPUR: Gets Global Bhd has received in a notice in writing from Messrs PKF on their resignation as external auditors of the company.

In a Bursa filing, Gets Global said the resignation shall take effect upon the appointment of new external auditors of the company.

PKF was re-appointed as the external auditors of the company at the twentieth annual general meeting (AGM) of the company held on March 3 to hold office until the conclusion of the next AGM of the company.

“The resignation of PKF is based on the mutual consent of both parties,” Gets Global said.

“The board also wishes to announce that the members of the board had approved the audit committee’s recommendation to appoint Messrs Deloitte PLT after assessing their capabilities, independence and proposed audit fees,” it added.

Gets Global said the appointment of Deloitte as the new auditors of the company is subject to the receipt of the written consent to act as auditors of the company from Deloitte pursuant to Section 264(5) of the Act.
