Value of construction work done contracts 6.1% to RM29.5bil in Q1


KUALA LUMPUR: The value of construction work done in the first quarter (Q1) of 2022 contracted 6.1 per cent on a year-on-year basis to RM29.5 billion, the Department of Statistics Malaysia (DOSM) said.

Chief statistician Datuk Seri Dr Mohd Uzir Mahidin said the value of construction work done continued to improve, compared to a contraction of 12.9 per cent in the fourth quarter of last year with RM27.6 billion in the value of work.
