Awang Adek resigns as PRG executive chairman

KUALA LUMPUR: PRG Holdings Bhd’s independent non-executive chairman Datuk Dr Awang Adek Hussin will be resigning from the group’s board, effective May 30.

PRG, in a Bursa filing, said that the resignation of Awang Adek was due to his recent appointment as the executive chairman of the Securities Commission with effect from June 1. Therefore, he has decided to step down from his role and responsibilities with PRG.
