G Capital unit to set up solar plants

KUALA LUMPUR: G Capital Bhd’s 70%-owned subsidiary Solarcity Malaysia Sdn Bhd has inked power purchase agreements (PPA) with China Well Fasteners Co Sdn Bhd and Chin Herr Industries Sdn Bhd for the contruction of solar photovoltaic energy generating systems with a total capacity of 5,380.56KWp.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the group said it would design, construct, install, own, operate and maintain the 2,380.32KWp and 3,000.24KWp plants at the premises of Chin Well Fasteners and Chin Herr respectively in Bukit Mertajam, Penang.
