KUALA LUMPUR: Stocks that are in focus on Friday include LPI Capital, CCK Consolidated Holdings, FSBC Holdings, Telekom Malaysia, Brahim's Holding, Hibiscus Petroleum and HB Global, according to JF Apex Research.

LPI Capital Bhd recorded a lower net profit of RM61.53 million for 1Q22, down 25.25% from RM82.31mil a year earlier.

CCK Consolidated Holdings Bhd plans to acquire the entire stake in Indonesia-based PT Bonanza Pratama Abadi for RM33.74mil.

FSBM Holdings Bhd's external auditor has noted a material uncertainty that may cast a significant doubt on the companys ability to continue as a going concern.

Telekom Malaysia Bhd (TM) inked a RM2 billion agreement with Digital Nasional Bhd on 5G service.

Brahim's Holdings Bhd has submitted an appeal to Bursa Securities against its delisting.

Hibiscus Petroleum Bhd clarified that it has not made any submission to any stock exchange for a special purpose acquisition company listing and HB Global Ltd has decided to defer its RM23.1mil private placement of 154 million new shares or 20% of its existing issued shares after having considered the current market sentiment.

Meanwhile, JF Apex said the FBM KLCI could remain sideways below the resistance of 1,620 points.

The US market plunged overnight following corporate earnings and inflation concerns and higher bond yields.

Earlier, European stocks rose after the European Central Bank said its bond buying programme will end in the third quarter.
