Former Axis adviser gets six months jail, RM800,000 fine for furnishing false financial statements


KUALA LUMPUR: The Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court has convicted Axis Incorporation Bhd’s former adviser to the board of directors, Lee Koon Huat, for abetting the company in furnishing false financial statements in its quarterly reports for the financial year (FY) 2007.

Lee was charged on March 26, 2013 with four charges under section 122C(c) read together with section 122B(a)(bb) of the Securities Industry Act 1983 (SIA).
