Trading ideas: HLT Global, Ranhill Utilities, Samaiden, Advancecon and Ayer Holdings


KUALA LUMPUR: Stocks to watch for on Wednesday include HLT Global, Ranhill Utilities, Samaiden, Advancecon and Ayer Holdings, said JF Apex Research.

HLT Global's wholly-owned subsidiary HL Advance Technologies (M) Sdn Bhd (HLA) is suing WRP Asia Pacific Sdn Bhd, WRP Specialty Products Sdn Bhd (the first and second defendants) and three others over RM16.43mil owed for equipment, goods and services provided by HLA.

Ranhill Utilities has accepted a letter of acceptance from Pengurusan Aset Air Bhd for a RM61.49mil pipe replacement project.

Samaiden has bagged a RM56.64mil engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning (EPCC) contract in relation to the development of a 15MW large scale solar photovoltaic power plant in Kamunting, Perak.

Advancecon has bagged a construction project worth RM42.54mil for the proposed construction and completion of earthworks and other related works for the development of Phase 2 (R6, R8, R9, and C5) in Bandar Bukit Raja 2, Kapar district.

AYER Holdings has proposed a first and final dividend of 10 sen per share for the financial year ended Dec 31, 2021.

Meanwhile, JF Apex said the FBM KLCI could remain buoyed above the support of 1,540 points following the overnight surge in Wall street.

The US market rallied after oil prices dropped below US$100 a barrel and investors expect the Federal Reserve to raise interest rates by 25 basis points later today.

Earlier, European stocks ended lower as the ongoing negotiations between Russia and Ukraine have yet to result in a ceasefire.
