Quick take: Samaiden rallies on news of RM56.65mil EPCC contract win


KUALA LUMPUR: Samaiden Group Bhd's stock rallied on Wednesday on the back of news it had won a RM56.65mil contract to undertake engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning (EPCC) works in Perak.

At 10.07am, the share was trading up three sen or 2.91% to RM1.06 apiece on 2,600 units traded.

Its warrants were up two sen or 7.41% to 29 sen.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia yesterday, the EPCC solutions provider said its wholly-owned subsidiary, Samaiden Sdn Bhd, had entered into a contract with Green RE Sdn Bhd to undertake works relating to the development of the 15MWac large-scale solar photovoltaic (LSSPV) power plant in Perak.

The project is one of the LSSPV which was approved by Suruhanjaya Tenaga in March 2021 pursuant to the Large Scale Solar Mentari programme.
