KUALA LUMPUR: Perusahaan Otomobil Nasional Sdn Bhd’s (Proton) sold 4,453 units (domestic and export) in January, a reduction of 25.3% from the same month in 2021 and equivalent to an estimated domestic market share of 11.3%.

The carmaker said the lower sales were due to the knock-on effect of the severe flooding in Selangor at the end of 2021.
