AWC secures RM7.12mil contract from KTMB


KUALA LUMPUR: AWC Bhd has secured a contract worth RM7.12mil from Keretapi Tanah Melayu Bhd (KTMB) to upgrade and replace the new cushion pad passenger seat.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, AWC said the tender submitted by its subsidiary, Trackwork & Supplies Sdn Bhd (TSSB) to upgrade and replace new cushion pad passenger seat with a new comfortable design for Electric Train Set (ETS) 93 Class and Six Car Set (SCS) 92 Class had been accepted by KTMB.

The contract is for a period of 18 months beginning Feb 15, 2022 to Aug 14, 2023.

“The contract is expected to contribute positively to the earnings of the AWC group over the duration of the contract,” it said.
