KUALA LUMPUR: HSS Engineers Bhd
's unit HSS Integrated Sdn Bhd has accepted two framework services from Digital Nasional Bhd on the provision of consultancy services for the national implementation of Malaysia's 5G infrastructure and network.
In a bourse filing, the group said the agreements encompass the commercial contract management for term sheets and access agreements, RFx and negotiation for the site leasing rate card and special conditions, and site management partner for post-site acquisition activities.
The contract began in November 2021 for a period of 14 months to December 2022.
"We are extremely excited to embark on this prestigious undertaking that will allow us to reprise our integral role in further enhancing Malaysia's telecommunication infrastructure.
"This is a successful diversification in HEB Group's custumer base, complementing out prowess in transport, ports and waters sectors," said HSS Engineers executive vice chairman Tan Sri Kuna Sittampalam in a press statement.
He added that the project marked the group's first foray into the telecommunications segment.
The group expects the contract to contribute positively to the revenue, earnings and net assets of HEB Group for financial years ending 31 December 2021 and 2022.
