Malaysia's LI rises 0.3% in October in anticipation of economic recovery


KUALA LUMPUR: The annual Leading Index (LI) rose 0.3 per cent to attain 109.5 points in October 2021 after registering 0.6 per cent in September 2021.

Chief statistician Datuk Sri Mohd Uzir Mahidin said real imports of semiconductors remained the major contributor to the increase in the LI with positive demand for electronic integrated circuits.
