Group confident high prices will offset labour issues

KUALA LUMPUR: Sime Darby Plantation Bhd’s (SDP) net earnings more than tripled in the third quarter ended Sept 30, 2021 on the back of elevated crude palm oil (CPO) and palm kernel (PK) prices.

For the quarter under review, the plantation group recorded a net profit of RM610mil, which was more than three times the net earnings of RM190mil in the third quarter of financial year 2020.
