Human capital division head Datin Shahdee Ahmad (pic) said the well-being of communities is dependent on the ability of the people to gain access to social and economic opportunities, therefore, to help more people develop their full potential, NCIA has implemented several programmes to help empower the rakyat in NCER.

GEORGE TOWN: The Northern Corridor Implementation Authority (NCIA) has designed various holistic and integrated programmes to address the financial challenges faced by the local communities in the Northern Corridor Economic Region (NCER).

The programmes are relevant since the Covid-19 pandemic struck as they are able churn out a community of local entrepreneurs, create job opportunities, improve income streams as well as upskill local talents to match industry needs against the backdrop of increasing retrenchment trend.
