Pantech returns to the black in Q1

Pantech told Bursa Malaysia the group’s higher revenue and earnings was mainly due to full trading and manufacturing operation during current quarter compared to partial operation arising from the movement control order imposed by the government last year.

PETALING JAYA: Pantech Group Holdings Bhd made a profit of RM15.2mil for its first quarter (Q1) ended May 31, 2021, compared with a net loss of RM5.6mil in the corresponding period last year.

During the quarter in review, the company’s revenue jumped 84% to RM148.5mil from RM80.7mil previously. It declared a first interim dividend of 0.50 sen per share.
