Petronas JV finds gas off coast of Miri


In the ongoing MBR 2021, Petronas is offering opportunities in 13 new offshore exploration blocks in Malaysia’s prolific basins, including a few blocks within Balingian.

KUALA LUMPUR: A joint venture of PTTEP HK Offshore Ltd and Petronas Carigali has found gas in the Kulintang-1 wildcat exploration well of Block SK438, in the shallow waters of Balingian Province about 230km off the coast of Miri.

Petronas said on Wednesday the Kulintang-1 well was successfully drilled to a total depth of 2,238m in April 2021.
