PM: Oversubscription of sustainability sukuk proves Malaysia on right track for recovery

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia's sustainability sukuk issuance which was oversubscribed by 6.4 times recently proved that the country is on the right track in managing its economy towards a more sustainable and stable growth, said Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.

"This reflects the confidence of investors in the country and market on the recovery and Malaysia's economic growth prospects even though the government is facing tough challenges due to the COVID-19 pandemic over the last one year,” he said.
