Tuju Setia unit wins RM143.5mil construction job from Glomac

KUALA LUMPUR: Main-Market-bound construction service company Tuju Setia Bhd' subsidiary Pembinaan Tuju Setia Sdn Bhd (PTS) has secured a RM143.5mil project to construct a high-rise development in Petaling Jaya from a Glomac Bhd unit.

In a statement, the group said PTS will undertake the contract from FDM Development Sdn Bhd to serve as the main contractor for 121 Residences.

The high-rise development comprises two tower blocks of 28-storey SoHO and serviced apartments, related facilities and a multi-storey carpark.

The duration of the contract will be for 26 months with construction works to commence on May 2021.

"This project not only adds to our current order book, but also broadens our portfolio breadth of high-rise buildings done by us.

"Also, this will be a new client for Tuju Setia, an indication as much of our quality reputation as our capability to deliver projects on time," said Tuju Setia managing director Wee Eng Kong.

He added that the win demonstrates the increasing optmism in the property development sector and will participate in more tenders to sustain the group's profitability.
