HDC partners Statistics Dept for halal data analytics usage


HDC CEO Hairol Ariffein Sahari said both parties have agreed to take the necessary steps in empowering halal industry statistical services through knowledge sharing and statistical generated data with the signing of an MoU.

PETALING JAYA: Halal Development Corp Bhd (HDC) has partnered with the Department of Statistics Malaysia (DOSM) on the use of research and data analytics in the halal industry.

HDC CEO Hairol Ariffein Sahari said both parties have agreed to take the necessary steps in empowering halal industry statistical services through knowledge sharing and statistical generated data with the signing of an MoU.

Two sectors have been chosen – pharmaceutical and food services. The objective is to achieve RM40bil in revenue from halal food services and RM1.6bil from the halal pharmaceutical sector by 2025. ─ Bernama
