KUALA LUMPUR: Prestariang Bhd said it has secured a letter of award from Menteri Besar Selangor Inc (MBI) to develop and implement a skill training and job placement programme in the state.
Prestariang estimated that the value of the three-year contract would be approximately RM50mil based on the agreed work programme.
"The total value of the Contract will depend on the actual number of candidates that Prestaring Systems Sdn Bhd successfully trained and provide job placements during the Contract period," it said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia today.
Prestariang said the contract has commenced on Nov 1 with a two months of mobilisation period and will end 36 months thereafter, or any other extended date as approved by MBI.
The company is targeting to provide skills training and job placement for 10,000 Malaysians in Selangor under the programme.
"The Selangor Kerjaya Program is a key state program where PSSB will not only provide training and job placements for job seekers but also provide Selangor state government with analytics and intelligence that will give the State a strategic advantage over its peers and will improve employment opportunities of its residence in future," it said.
