Sern Kou stays strong despite tough times

Managing director Chua Peng Sian told StarBiz that Sern Kou’s growth plans were unchanged.“To cater to the growing demand, we are in the midst of expanding our sawmill in Kuala Krai, Kelantan."

The low-key timber player has over the last four financial years seen growth in net profit while others in the business were finding it tough amid the current operating environment and the third wave of the Covid-19 outbreak.
