Maybank appoints Zamzamzairani as new chairman


Taking the helm: Zamzamzairani will become Maybank’s new chairman and director effective Nov 2.

PETALING JAYA: Malayan Banking Bhd (Maybank), the country’s largest bank by assets, has appointed Tan Sri Zamzamzairani Mohd Isa as its new chairman and director effective Nov 2.

He will be taking over from Datuk Mohaiyani Shamsudin, who will retire after more than three years at the helm. Prior to her chairmanship, Mohaiyani, 71, was appointed director of Maybank in August 2011.
