PETALING JAYA: Green Packet Bhd has announced three key appointments in line with its transformation agenda, which among others, seeks to invest in innovative start-ups and spearhead smart city development.
Andrew Tan, (pic) who previously co-founded digital product builder VLT Labs, will serve as the CEO of Green Packet’s newly-launched co-creation innovation lab, KipleX.
“The unit is positioned as a new venture builder designed to support local entrepreneurs in creating innovative solutions, build robust business plans, accelerate growth traction and raise funding.
“At the same time, KipleX will be seeking like-minded progressive corporate partners to co-create new ventures together, ” stated Green Packet.
Meanwhile, real estate and smart city development expert James Tee will be leading Green Packet’s Smart City & Urban Tech as its CEO.
“We want to transform intelligent city living through digital technology. We will share the full suite of Green Packet’s technology infrastructure, property technology (proptech) and financial technology (fintech) solutions to create a whole new living experience through leading-edge digital innovations, thus creating iconic smart cities and next-generation technology parks, ” said Tee in a statement yesterday.
Tee previously had served as CEO of public-listed and non-listed real estate companies and was also a management consultant with global business consultancy McKinsey.
Green Packet has also appointed Ku Kok Peng as its group chief strategy officer.
In this role, Ku will lead the corporate strategy, change management, investor relations, corporate and internal communications and talent functions.
Previously, Ku has served as the executive vice president and partner in Pemandu Associates, where he led public sector transformation and business quantum leap, among others.
