King attends LBS CNY open house

Prosperity toss: The Yang di-Pertuan Agong tossing yee sang with Hock San (on the king’s left) with other dignitaries and LBS staff at the recent LBS Chinese New Year open house celebration.

KELANA JAYA: The Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah attended the Chinese New Year open house on Jan 25 organised by LBS BINA GROUP BHD founder and chairman Datuk Seri Lim Bock Seng.

Also present were Melaka Yang di-Pertua Negeri Tun Mohd Khalil Yaakob, Economic Affairs Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali and Federal Territories Minister Khalid Abdul Samad.

LBS managing director Tan Sri Lim Hock San, son of Bock Seng, expressed his gratitude to the king for attending the annual CNY open house.

“We are honoured to have the Yang Di-Pertuan Agong and ministers attend the open house this year. The family is able to celebrate this joyful season with all our guests, ” he said.

Sultan Abdullah later presented “ang pows” to children at the event before greeting members of the public.

Attendees were treated to a variety of local delicacies including char kuey teow, nasi lemak, satay, rojak sotong and ice kacang.

LBS is a prominent local property developer that traces its roots back to humble beginnings in the 1960s.

Today, the public-listed company boasts a diverse development portfolio with residential, commercial, retail and leasing, hospitality and tourism under its list of accomplishments.
