AWC posts higher 1Q earnings, orderbook over RM1b

AWC group CEO/president Datuk Ahmad Kabeer said: “This is a very strong set of results to kick start FY20 despite the headwinds affecting selected divisions within the group, as well as taking into account the kitchen sinking exercise during the fourth quarter of FY19."

KUALA LUMPUR: Engineering services provider AWC Bhd, which has an outstanding orderbook of over RM1bil, registered a 9.9% increase year-on-year (y-o-y) for the first quarter ended Sept 30,2019.

This was on the back of a revenue of RM88.8mil, due to a strong performance from the facilities and rail divisions, which mitigated the effect of lower contributions from the environment and engineering divisions.
