THERE are 47,000 employees in Petroliam Nasional Bhd (Petronas) worldwide, with nine top-level management staff. As with all companies, the movement of its workers is part of its operations and wouldn’t even be a news item unless it involves the group chief executive officer (CEO).
So, it was a bit unusual when there were news reports of the alleged departure of Petronas executive vice-president (EVP) and CEO of the upstream business, Datuk Mohd Anuar Taib, from the national oil company.
