Malaysian palm oil/Vegoils: Market factors to watch Monday Feb 25

Malaysian palm oil futures fell over 1 percent on Friday, recording a fifth session of declines in six, tracking weakness in soyoil on the U.S. Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT).

KUALA LUMPUR: The following factors are likely to influence Malaysian palm oil futures and other vegetable oil markets on Monday Feb 25.

FUNDAMENTALS

* Malaysian palm oil futures reversed early gains on Friday to close in negative territory, tracking declines in soyoil on the U.S. Chicago Board of Trade.

* U.S. grain and soy futures seesawed on Friday as traders waited for signs that Washington and Beijing were making progress toward a trade agreement that could boost Chinese imports of U.S. crops.

* Oil prices touched their highest since mid-November on Friday and posted weekly gains for the second week in a row, boosted by hopes that U.S.-China trade talks would soon produce a deal, although new record U.S. oil supply limited gains.
