TNB extends Leo Moggie contract until March 2020


In a filing, the national utility firm said Moggie

KUALAL LUMPUR: Tan Sri Leo Moggie will remain as chairman of Tenaga Nasional Bhd for another year.

The company, in a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, said its board of directors has approved the extension of service for Leo Moggie to remain as TNB's non-independent non-executive chairman until March 11, 2020.

Leo Moggie, 77, was first appointed as TNB's chairman in 2004.

Before that, he held senior ministerial positions at the federal and state levels for over 38 years.  They included Minister of Energy, Communications and Multimedia; Minister of Works; Minister of Energy, Telecommunications and Posts; and Minister of Local Government and Minister of Welfare Services in the Sarawak state government.
