TSH reports fire incident at subsidiary's factory

KUALA LUMPUR: TSH Resources Bhd has reported a fire at a factory owned by its wholly owned subsidiary, Ekowood International Bhd.

The group told the stock exchange that the fire broke out at the factory located in Gopeng, Perak, at about 5am today.

According to the group, the estimated loss is yet to be determined as the affected areas have been sealed by the Fire Department and are inacessible. 

"All assets are sufficiently insured and adequate insurance coverage has been taken for consequential business loss.

"Further announcement will be made once the actual losses have been determined," it said.

Ekowood contributes about 5% to the group's total revenue.

At 3.10pm, TSH was trading unchanged at RM1.12 a share on the back of 474,300 units exchanging hands.
